Quickbooks Pro 2011 For Mac
After struggling with MYOB for years and being thoroughly disappointed in its anti-friendly user interfaces, I thought I'd give Quickbooks a shot. I've used it for almost a year now and it's about a thousand times better than MYOB.
It's easy to use, the online support is great, and it's a good price. If you have no background in accounting, you can handle this. My only complaint is that there is no TurboTax for Business for the Mac which means I had to purchase the version for Windows and borrow a laptop. I had forgotten what an oaf Windows is. PLEASE develop business tax software to work with QB for the Mac. Since writing the above paragraph in 1/12, I encountered a severe bug: you can export the same exact paycheck as many times as you like! In my case, I thought the export had not occurred (due to the screen being hidden).

Never did I think that the same paycheck with the same check number could be exported TWICE. I thought the simple solution was to delete the 'second' paycheck--I ended up deleting the only paycheck. Then I spent a considerable amount of time doing journal entries to correct the entries, followed by re-doing the same paychecks. There's a bug that needs to be addressed.
Please pay more attention to your Mac version. This is a bug that should have been caught in beta testing.

I was most unhappy when my new accounting firm required that I have to enter info into Quickbooks for them. Even tho' the reviews were not good for the 2011 version they had me blow $149 on it anyway. I have been using it for nearly 2 months ~ or attempting to do so. It was very difficult to get the download to operate on my MacBook Pro laptop. It often won't open registers, it sometimes has a difficult time moving between companies, it freezes. When I attempt to make up an invoice the software will not put the detail as an income item but rather makes the category an expense. I have not used QuickBooks for about 3-4 years after all the problems I had with it in the past, in particular having the people in tech services from foreign countries wipe out all my info numerous times while attempting to 'help' fix the problems.
I became very dissatisfied when Intuit quit offering reasonably priced upgrades and tech services to their defective product. Instead, they appreciate their customers by refusing tech service for the poorly performing product and then expect you to buy a new version. I do not appreciate having all contact outsourced to countries where often the tech person does not clearly understand English. I do not like hearing the canned phrases to placate. I would never recommend this software product to anyone. It was a waste of my money.

Isp2432 driver for mac. After physically installing the PCI express x4 card in the server and booting ESX 4.0 U1, I found it had not picked up the NICs. It appeared since this is avery new card, the driver is not in the default drivers of ESX 4.0 U1, so I looked closer. Displaying the NICs only showed only the builtin Broadcom NICs, not the Intel. Wanting to expand the number of NICs from 4 to 8, I had an Intel Gigabit ET quad port adaptor laying around, so put it to use.
